On the road to Matheran last month, quite surprisingly, I met this cute little fellow who was very well-behaved. I must say he was the most decent monkey I have ever seen in my life!!! :) Sounds funny, but we all know how troublesome the monkeys are — they will snatch your food, check your camera out, climb on your shoulders, etc. But this guy was quite decent. I went very near to him and he allowed me to take his beautiful close-up photograph. The original photograph that I have is 37 times larger than this one. I have put 2 actual-pixel-crops of that large photograph below the full-frame photograph to give an idea of how much detail I got when such a mischievous species became a fashion idol…
This is the full-frame photograph reduced/resized to fit in the blog…
Following 2 are the actual pixels photographs, cropped to fit in the blog…
His eye…
His hairstyle… :)
Lovely...This monkey seems really decent. Your post bought a smile on my face Bhavesh!!!
ReplyDeleteInteresting.... I chanced upon you space while I was visiting Alice! I'm from Pune too and echo your thoughts about this wonderful place..... Its been a great experience so far! Pune is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure Mansi!
ReplyDeleteHi Rakesh,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your thoughts about Pune. Anyway, have you seen Pune from your childhood? Seems you are from Ooty. Pune was way way better 20 years back. Actually, there's no comparison, as the current-day Pune is one of the worst cities in the world. Do you know that Pune was a post-retirement hillstation?
Take care.

I can't imagine having monkeys running wild. We don't have any here in the United States except in zoos and some people who have them for pets. Interesting post.
ReplyDeleteIt's a common thing here Gramma. People don't go to zoo to see monkeys. Monkeys just roam around anywhere, do whatever they want. People don't even object :)
