Special Sunset

Don't get me wrong if I seem to be over-expressive, but it is very difficult to control the expression of how special this sunset was for me and Megha. It was one of the most joyous times of our lives. Yippie! Yeah!! We got to see them!!!

Special Sunset

We had touched the settlement of a huge population of the very beautiful Painted Storks at that time. There were others also, like Grey Heron, Little Cormorant and Black-headed Ibis. We were going mad looking at the beauty of these birds who were in thousands of numbers in each species.

Special Sunset

It was a special sunset as it was one of the sunsets in the wild; we actually smelled the presence of a tiger or a leopard or maybe a hyena as some poor birds were preyed upon lying on the ground smelling horrifyingly bad. Well, the smell is not the topic, but the beauty of the special sunset. I wish we had managed to place a painted stork alone in the silhouette instead of a grey heron with 2 little cormorants. Anyway, this too looks nice to me. What do you say about this special sunset?

  3. Beautiful pictures.
I do find they are not such a pleasure to look at now that you have had to add security measures, but the beauty of the sunset and birds still comes through!

  8. What a special sunset for you and Megha to share. It must have been arranged just for you! I love the way you caught the silhouettes of the birds against the gorgeousness of the sun before it slipped over the edge of the world. This picture is truly stunning.
