Green Leaf Grasshopper in simple language. Greater Anglewing Katydid is the real name. Microcentrum rhombifolium is the scientific name. Phylloptera rhombifolia, Orophus rhombifolia, Microcentrum affiliatum Scudder are the synonyms. Tettigoniidae is the species family name.
I am sure, most of us cannot identify seeing this first photo that it's a grasshopper or a cricket. See the second photo to be shocked.
The Green Leaf Grasshopper is so perfectly camouflaged that it gets unnoticed in the leaves. Our morning walk was lucky that this stupid green guy was crazily sitting on the internal concrete road.
We didn't have camera in hand when we saw this Greater Anglewing Katydid. So we walked ahead after a keen look at the amazing design of the bug. What even more amazing is that it was sitting at the same place at the same time the next day too! We rushed home for the camera, and were rewarded with these photos. The camera's sensors went green.

Beautiful Java Cassia Flowers - Pink Shower, Rainbow Shower, Apple Blossom Cassia, Cassia agnes (de Wit) Brenan, Nodding Cassia, Pink Cassia [Other names] - Cassia Javanica [Binomial/Scientific name] - Caesalpiniaceae [Family — same as Gulmohar]
I was lucky to paint some pixels with these beautiful Java Cassia flowers when we visited the beautiful Balaji Temple Pune a few months back. To my surprise, these beautiful flowers are of the same scientific family as Gulmohar, and are originally from Thailand.
