Oriental Garden Lizard [Calotes versicolor]
On our way from Ranakpur to Udaipur, we took a lunch break at Sukh Sagar Hotel. It was a small highway-side setup serving snacks and meals. The surroundings were green with the arrival of monsoon. As rain had paused, we decided to sit out. While enjoying the local food in the cool breezes of monsoon’s afternoon, we spotted an Oriental Garden Lizard [Scientific name: Calotes versicolor]. It was so beautiful and slender! Thankfully, it allowed me to close-in for an up-close photograph! How’s it?
Stone carving of Hanuman on the trek of Tikona fort
Trek to the top of Tikona fort is an easy one, which I think is a good trial for new trekkers. On way, this beautiful stone carving of Hanuman [GOD in the form of a monkey] takes care of the safety of the trekkers. This stone carving of Hanuman is a must see sight, especially for trekkers. Below is the location map of Tikona fort. My post from the past in the following link shows another photograph taken on our trek to Tikona. See Meditation in nature
