Lightning thunderbolts in Pune tonight
Suddenly the weather changed, and it was what we had expected from yesterday night when we saw a frog in this time of the year! Yesterday a big thundercloud built up, but it did nothing here except reflecting the light of the setting sun and brightening the evening to the hue of gold! Tonight, just a few minutes back, sudden strong flow of winds caught our attention! Whoa, we exclaimed in excitement! It was getting wildly windy with huge clouds building up. The lightning started in this all. We set our 2 cameras to pixel the action, and here is what we got — a perfect shot of frightening yet beautiful lightning thunderbolts in Pune tonight!

DeleteIn the southern US ( I am originally from Georgia, in case you caught a hint of an accent ), we have huge thunderstorms almost every day/night in summer, with displays of chain lightning like your photograph. In the US, nearly 100 deaths annually are caused by lightning strikes! The displays make for great photographs, though.
ReplyDeleteOops, missed that accent! It must be so interesting everyday/night out there. I love thunderstorms. I have heard of a place [perhaps in South America] where thunderstorm never stops! It must be so different and interesting! I have to visit that place some day.
DeleteIt is so surprising that so many people die by lightning strikes every year. But some things are out of our control.
nature's gem captured so well ~
