Mayur Vatika is a square in Jaipur that is decorated with hand-made peacock statues. Now you must be wondering why I have posted a completely different scene instead of a peacock. It is because I went there at night. I will have to check the photo folder again to see if I took a photo of a peacock in such a low-light condition. For now, friends, enjoy the night ambience of the location. It's not just the collection of peacock statues that makes this place beautiful. It's a combination of several decorative items there. This bench and the brilliant lighting are examples of it. What do you say? Is it beautiful in your view too?

Oh, I would so love to visit Jaipur. If I get my wish and can come to India for six months, I should get to see Jaipur, stroll where you have photographed and maybe have chai with you and your lovely wife in your home town!!

@ RNSANE: That will surely be a pleasure! Oh, you seem to have misunderstood that Jaipur is my home town! Jaipur is my wife's home town — the beautiful pink city. My home town is Poona — among the mountains of the amazing Western Ghats. Yes, it will be a pleasure to have tea with you at both the places :)
ReplyDelete@ secret agent woman: Really! :)
@ nalini: Yes, in the time of low light :) In the day time, it's surrounded by some vehicles.
@ aipi: No no, not at all. It's your heartfelt appreciation as I get it :) I'm still searching if I have taken any photo of the peacock statues there.
That's an amazing shot in an amazing lighting!!! Loving it!!!
