Review of Savya Rasa [Koregaon Park, Pune, Maharashtra, India]
Savya Rasa is bound to change your view on the South Indian food that most of us know as limited to Idli, Dosa, Uttappa, etc. But just as with most cuisines, there is so so so much more to South Indian food than just that!
You may keep reading, or skip to the photos.
The owner of Savya Rasa: Mr Uday Balaji has taken serious efforts to create the experience. There is a story behind everything, be it the simplest of the pillars, door-frames, etc. of the premises, or be it about how the recipies and chefs have been discovered. From decor, look and feel, usage of antiques and South Indian art, to research of South Indian cuisines, their authentic recipies, color and aroma, chef-hunt, etc., everything is given so much attention to, that the outcome of the efforts is a truly outstanding restaurant. Do make a visit to Savya Rasa to feel it for yourself personally.
I am so glad that Carpe Diem invited me for a food tasting session at Savya Rasa. Thank you hosts Carina and Shivangi for ensuring a comfortable event.
Following was the menu for the event…

• Kulukki Sharbat
Starters:
• Venchina Mamsa Koora

• Chemeen Podi-ittu Varuthathu
• Cheniga Pappu Vada
• Kozhi Podi Varuval
• Biskuthambade
Mains:

I am a vegetarian, non-alcoholic person. I eat eggs sometimes however. The best of the servings in my view was the "Bun Parota" [contains eggs]. The flavour and preparation is so perfect that you have to go to Savya Rasa to eat it and feel it yourself. And oh yes, do sip the Sulaimani Tea — unbeatable!

Well, Bhavesh, you certainly did an excellent portrayal of Savya Rasa - the photography is superb. It looks like a most beautiful restaurant, with attention to artistic ambiance and an enticing selection of dishes for every palate. If I make it to Pune again, I will certainly want to dine there!!!
