Today's gambling is quite different than those times, but the base is the same. The difference is in the way people gamble. Now one doesn't physically need to be present at the gambling spots. Gambling is present online on the Internet for the past few years.
There may be an argument whether online gambling is good or bad, but the conclusion is that no matter what, the gamblers WILL gamble.
