Lazy Bird

We went to Kavdi a couple of weeks back to photograph the migrating birds from Siberia. To our surprise, this cutie plover was showing its intelligence. Do you know that plovers are smart chaps? Don't worry; I too don't know :) But this one was indeed a smart fellow. It was resting ashore the river, seeing ducks and other birds enjoying the river water. But poor plovers probably cannot get into water. So it looked around and found a floating thermocol sheet. It flew and sat on it, using it as its boat, having a special ride and enjoying a new perspective of the beautiful scenery. Look closely at its expression…

Mexican Prickly Poppy [Argemone Mexicana, Satyanashi, सत्यानाशी]

I had pictured this a few months ago in a beautiful place named Baneshwar. My post named Crafted Leaf shows another beauty of Baneshwar.

This plant is considered a weed in India, spread almost all over the country. It's poisonous, but has medicinal use too. I remember my mother said once that this flower's juice, or the juice of its leaves, if applied in the eyes is useful for better vision. Please don't try it because it may need some preparation before applying. I'll have to ask my mom about this, and get important Ayurved information from her knowledge-pool :)

Rajasthani Turbans

Although a large part of Rajasthan is a desert, it surprisingly is very colorful! One of the best examples is the Rajasthani Turban. It's very much colorful and vibrant, and adds a unique look to the person who wears it. On my Rajasthan Tour arranged with UnseenRajasthan.com of Bharat Khatri, I couldn't believe when Bharat made more than 20 types of different turbans on his head by himself!

When in the markets, I saw many varieties of Rajasthani Turbans, and photographed them. Below are the photos of Rajasthani Turbans. To take a trial, I wore one and my wife took my photo :) The last photo is mine.

I received a very interesting email forward from one of my friends, which has great views of and from The Tallest — Burj Khalifa [originally named Burj Dubai, written as برج خليفة‎ in Arabic, also called as Khalifa Tower]. I'm sharing the pictures with you all :)
