Lightning McQueen Picture

My nephew loves this character so much that he was one day very persistent that I take a Lightning McQueen picture in my style! So I thought for an idea for a while and told him to fold his palm in punch style; I then put the car on his hand and took this "Lightning McQueen Picture". He liked it very much! The picture really turned out to be of good quality for me too. Usually I'm a bit choosy about ranking pictures. But this turned out to be good in my view also. Why? It's because the photo has soft focus to cover the kid subject. Additionally, the crispest focus point is on the eyes of the car. Secondarily additionally, the light is nicely spread and natural.

My and my nephew's opinion about this Lightning McQueen picture is probably what I should call an obvious one because for me, it's a picture photographed by me, and because for him, it's the picture of his favorite character. The real opinion is of you my friends. What's your reaction? :)

Iron bench outdoor

Have you seen my posts from Jaisalmer? If not, check these out…
Jaisalmer Palace
Kuldhara
Tribal lady and her child
Carved wall of a palace
Puppets of Rajasthan
Ganpati and Shiv statues
Catfish of Gadisar lake
Night photography of a tree
Sam desert
21 Iktara on sale

When we were in the palace of Patwas [locally known as Patwo ki haveli] in Jaisalmer, there were things in big number that were picturesque and photogenic. I could have filled all the 3 of my memory cards if I had enough time. But still, what I painted on billions of bits of Boolean was satisfactory for me. A few million of those lucky bits stored the following photo of an iron bench outdoor a section of the palace of Patwas.

Do you like to be outdoor? Do you want to sit on this iron bench outdoor? Do you like this photo? My answer of course is yes for all the 3 questions :) I want to see your comments.

Indian temple photo

A few days back, I published a photo from Agroha. See Shehnai Player Statue - Agroha, Hissar, Haryana, India. A few kilometers away, there is another temple. It's of Mata Shitla [Shitla Goddess]. It was so fresh and clean that I could not believe that I was in India and was visiting an Indian temple! It was probably the best chance to take an Indian temple photo that was clean and neat. Otherwise it is very difficult to have an Indian temple photo without clutter of wires, dirt, people, etc. around. I hope you will like this photo. Do you like it? And oh yes, do you feel that this Indian temple photo relates to some popular place? I feel so somehow. Anyway, tell me whether you like the photo :)

Forever green landscape

We were returning from Varandha Ghat; there was beauty everywhere except that it was too hot to be comfortable. But we still tried to take some good photographs. See my photo of bouquet tree. I think you will like it. At the same place where I photographed the bouquet tree, I photographed the below scene. The bouquet tree was photographed facing towards the road. The below landscape was photographed facing left side of the road. It looked as if it is a forever green landscape. There was no sign of aging grass. How do you find this photograph? Do you like it?

Feeding Buffalo

I was on my way to Kas Plateau… no no, I did not see this feeding buffalo twosome at that time :) I saw them on my way back. It was such a beautiful time of the year and beautiful place too. High above the lower plains, these feeding buffalo were having their lunch on a plateau. I guess you are having a feel looking at the photo that the place they are feeding at is at a high altitude. How do you feel looking at this photo of feeding buffalo? Enjoyable life they are having, isn't it?

The Red Leaf

This particular red leaf photo has it's story just like most of my photographs. It was a hot afternoon when we were roaming the potholed river basin at Baneshwar. There was much to photograph, but the red leaf in this photo was unexpected. There were different colors like greens of vegetation, washed browns and grays of potholed river basin, browns of soil, blues of sky, vibrants of cacti, etc. But this red leaf was alone! The light was so perfectly behind it! I love this leaf. Do you?

Rare Flower

It was the time when I went for an environmental task last year on Purandar Fort. I'm yet to see the results I'm expecting this December, not just at Purandar fort, but at some more locations. Well, that's a different topic. The below photo relates to a rare sight of a rare flower. I'm not sure what its general and scientific names are. But for sure, it was one that I had not seen before. Do you identify this rare flower? Please let me know.

And yes, as usual, I'm expecting your comments on the photo :)

Morning Road

It was about 6:30 in the morning and a drive on the new Mumbai-Bangalore bypass. The morning sun was perfect for a good photo. I took this photo of morning road about 4 years back!

Hibiscus Flower

Do you know that the hibiscus flower has about 220 types? The flower has received its name from the greek word ἱβίσκος [hibískos]. A famous author in the first century, named Pedanius Dioscorides had named marshmallow flower as ἱβίσκος. It has a few other names like rosemallow, sorrel and flor de Jamaica. Let this be some knowledge, and tell me how you feel seeing this hibiscus flower photographed by me.
